nanosilver product maintenance
How to Care for Your Nanosilver® Clothing
Maintaining nanosilver® clothing is straightforward and requires no special treatment. The care instructions are similar to those for regular functional clothing and socks. The silver is firmly embedded within the fibers, ensuring that it does not wash out and retains its functionality.
Washing Instructions
-
First Wash: Before wearing for the first time, it is recommended to wash your nanosilver® clothing in a washing machine at 40°C with similar colors. Hand washing may result in some color bleeding into the washing solution, but this does not affect the quality or color of the material (it is merely the washing out of residual color pigments).
-
Regular Washing: We recommend washing at 40°C or by hand. Hand washing may cause some coloration in the water, which does not impact the fabric’s quality or color.
Bleaching
- Avoid Bleaching: Do not bleach nanosilver® clothing as it can damage the material and reduce its effectiveness.
Ironing
- No Ironing Needed: There is no need to iron nanosilver® clothing. The material is designed to remain wrinkle-free, and ironing is unnecessary.
Chemical Treatment
- No Chemical Cleaning: Avoid using chemical cleaning agents. These can harm the nanosilver technology embedded in the fibers.
Drying
- Air Drying Preferred: It is recommended to air dry your nanosilver® garments. Hang them up to dry naturally.
- Sensitive Dryer Setting: If you choose to use a dryer, select a delicate program, ideally with cold air, to avoid damaging the fabric.
Fabric Softener
-
Do Not Use Fabric Softener: To maintain the functionality of nanosilver® technology, it is important not to use fabric softeners. Fabric softeners create a film on the fibers, creating a barrier between the material and your skin, which impedes the direct contact needed for the silver molecules to be effective.
-
Accidental Use of Fabric Softener: If you accidentally use fabric softener, wash the clothing again without it to remove the film.
Additional Information
- Avoid Certain Substances: Be cautious of potential negative reactions and damage to nanosilver® clothing from aggressive components in sweat, deodorants, and pre and post-tanning creams. For example, deodorants containing DEET can dissolve synthetic fibers, including those in nanosilver® garments.
